Two More ETRM Vendors From The CTRM Directory

In the European ETRM world, there remain many solutions that have emerged in local markets and now look to broaden their European footprint. Yesterday, we mentioned Romanian vendor Ringhel and it would be a good example. There are several more. Another is Turkish consultancy and vendor, APlus Enerji which was established in 2009, according to its website where it describes itself as follows.

“APLUS Energy Investment Consulting Technology and Trade Ltd. Ltd. Şti. is an independent consulting and technology development company that provides services to its customers with a strong focus on the energy value chain. APLUS aims to fill the gap between OT (Operational Technologies), IT (Information Technologies) and customer needs with its reports as well as high performance, transparent and user-friendly software products developed with advanced mathematical approaches. The products offered by APLUS include short and long term load and price prediction, integrated energy trade and risk management solutions, and software products developed for power plant installation optimization. Apart from the consultancy services it provides for the products and business processes, APLUS provides financial and technical feasibility studies for power plants; smart grid projects for advisory services and strategic consulting services finally to domestic and foreign investors want to operate in Turkey’s energy market it serves.”

It is one of two vendors that started as Turkish power trading emerged in the last decade along with MTX Commodities who are now headquartered in London. APlus Enerji offers a broad set of software solutions from the generation to retail segments of the power industry via the AVIEW product family and RIX product family. The RIX product suite includes ‘ETRM-like’ functionalities such as portfolio optimization, risk management, trade operations management and Monte Carlo price simulations while the AVIEW suite focuses on generation optimization, retail operations and market analysis.  Additionally, it offers a number of consulting services according to the website.

Another Regional European vendor is Microstep HDO based in Slovakia. It describes itself as,

“MicroStep – HDO was founded in early 1993 as a subsidiary of MicroStep. The main scope of the work was HDO delivery systems and monitoring and control systems in the industry. It markets an ETRM called XENERGIE. This is described as a modular software platform for energy market participants that allows connection to EU energy markets.  The solution includes modules for trading and trade contract management, data management, retail operations and generation optimization amongst others.
