Enuit Sees and Responds to an Active Market
Enuit continues to add new features and functionality to ENTRADE with a focus on the next generation of users, says David Meyers at Enuit. Ganesh Natarajan, Enuit’s COO, added “We have been listening carefully to the market and seeing some trends in terms of changing architectures and the users wanting to open their software solutions. So, Enuit is working towards this goal by integration points to allow our clients to exchange information with other applications more easily. These new ENTRADE we will help solve the data management and business process optimization issues.”
Enuit also continues to see good activity and interest for its application in several geographies including China, the Middle East and North America in particular, David said. Much of this interest is in oil & gas, petrochemicals, and LNG markets, but also renewables, metals and other commodity markets. There are many RFI’s, and RFP’s being worked on in these areas.
Additionally, it continues to work on several implementation projects as well. It recently completed an implementation at a leading Refinery in the USA, successfully deploying the ENTRADE CTRM application platform for Crude oil and Refined products. It’s ENTRADE software supports end-to-end business needs for Crude oil and Refined products trading companies. ENTRADE offers features and functions to support both Physical and Financial trading functions across the full transaction life cycle, David told me. Enuit is now engaged in a very large implementation project for a new customer in Asia.
We then discussed some of the trends that are shaping the commodities industries and associated software. Geopolitics has had an impact in areas like regulation (deforestation, sustainability, carbon and so on) Now we are seeing an impact to supply chains. In part, the new demand for CTRM solutions in the middle East reflects this geopolitical environment, David said. “The Middle Eastern demand is relatively new and is focusing on expanding their traditional marketing functions to include a trading function, too.”, he suggested.
We also touched on an effort it is making to embed some AI features into ENTRADE. However, despite the interest in the industry, AI is still in its early days. And, determining how AI can be best utilized within software applications is not entirely clear today, David told me. Overall, Enuit seems to be busy across all aspects of its business in terms of sales, delivery, and product development in quite an active market.
