Gen10 Customer Gets Vocal About its Implementation of CommOS

These days it seems harder than ever for a CTRM vendor to gain approval from any customer to get out an announcement regarding selection or implementation – even if that announcement is a part of the sales contract. The truth is that many firms are simply unwilling to be public about its choice of CTRM solution. So I was a little surprised by a web page on Corrie MacColl’s website I was pointed to recently in which the company discuss the importance of its Gen10 selection. The page shares the fact that the Gen10 implementation has gone live and that 110 users are on the platform.

We’re pleased to share that Gen10 has launched! This new commodity management software will allow over 110 employees spanning 10 cities across the Corrie MacColl group to align working practices and reporting, and fits into our wider aim of bringing  digital innovation to the natural rubber industry. Within just 3 weeks in October, we implemented Gen10’s ‘CommOS’ software in the Centrotrade office in Virginia, U.S.A and then continued rolling out the system into each office on a month-by-month timeline. The China office’s January installation has been temporarily postponed but we hope to launch it soon. Going forward, an internal Gen10 helpdesk and development group will provide standby support to users,“ the web page states before going on to outline the business benefits of the implementation and demonstrate buy in across the company with quotes from various department heads. They even made a video featuring the Business Development Manager of Corrie MacColl that is also available on Youtube. Mr. Tony Fox, Corrie McColl’s Business Development Manager talks about the project, benefits and cooperation with Gen10 and other parties in the video.

Corrie McColl is a major business in the rubber industry and owns and operates the world’s largest commercial Natural Rubber plantation. Along with its parent company, Halcyon Agri, It has the “resources to revolutionise the way rubber is grown, processed and distributed, championing sustainable natural rubber for the digital age” according to its website and according to Robert Meyer, CEO,  ‘transitioning to the Gen10 software will allow us to streamline the Contract entry, Allocation, Logistics and Inventory workflows within our Businesses. I see this as the next step in aligning our brands under the Corrie MacColl umbrella.’

Cudos to Gen10 and to Corrie MacCall for doing this as buy in and commitment is a necessary part of any CTRM or CM implementation and this web page demonstrates that clearly. If anyone knows of any other examples of this sort of buy in, please do let us know as we will be happy to cover them here too.
