We were a bit quite on here last week. That is because we were both in London.
The primary purpose of the trip was a presentation to a group of CIO’s on the evolution of E/CTRM that seemed to go very well and was punctuated by a lot of very telling questions. While there, we also strategized a bit about our business and took some time to meet with various people from across the industry including Richard Williamson and the Gen10 team, Libby Koehn of Brady PLC, Matt Barrett of Adaptiv, Aviv Handler of ETR Advisory, Claire Peel of Allegro, and Richard Jefferson of Beacon. The over arching theme of the trip and visits seemed to be the deconstruction of the monolithic CTRM solution and a move towards apps or components in the cloud to perform discrete functionality communicating with each other via API’s. So much so, that this will be ComTech’s theme for 2019 and we will explore it in significant detail over the next several months. Of course, we learned a good deal about the individual companies plans from the representatives of each that we met of which, more later.
So now we are back at our desks and normal service will shortly be resumed.
