The Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority(FCA) have announced the start of changes to EMIR reporting in the UK, which will apply from 30 September 2024. The announcement is in the form of an update to the EMIR page and can be found here. It highlights the policy statement, which describes the changes and can be found here. Draft validation rules and message schemas can be found here, here and here. Input is sought on the validation rules and schemas by March 24th after which a final version will be published.
The changes follow a consultation run in late 2021 (see here). They are similar in nature to the EU EMIR REFIT that starts to apply from April 2024 (see here). The UK version of EMIR generally applies to UK based entities.
