The UK Spending review that took place. The headline of a BBC article mentions the fact that energy will receive an “infrastructure boost”.
Looking at the actual speech (which you can see in all sorts of places including on the Spectator website here), we see a renewed commitment to a “carbon friendly” strike price for appropriate generation (for the feed in tariff with CfD part of the Energy Bill).
In the official document all we really see (on page 47) is a re commitment and a reminder that funds will be raised from a levy.
