Glencore to sell 51 percent of oil products storage business

Swiss-based trading and mining giant Glencore has agreed to sell a 51 percent stake in its oil products and logistics business for $775 million to China’s HNA Innovation Finance Group Ltd, the company said on Friday. Reuters earlier exclusively reported that Glencore was in talks to sell a bundle of its global oil storage stakes, following similar moves by rivals as a boom period for storage shows signs of nearing to an end. New gas futures contracts launched in New Zealand, Australia

(Platts) – The Australian Securities Exchange and New Zealand national electricity grid operator Transpower have teamed up to launch monthly and quarterly gas futures contracts in New Zealand, the companies said Tuesday, April 7. Indices from Transpower’s emsTradepoint, which launched a physically settled natural gas spot contract in early 2014, will be used as the reference price for the ASX New Zealand gas futures, the partners said.
